    diagonal granny scarf/afghan

    Perigrines Eyrie

I had a brain wave while thinking of the scarf I wore yesterday. I can make a square starting from the corner, right? So can I make a rectangle?

I tried it. Yep I can.

    Diagonal Corner Started Granny Rectangle

form ring in preferred manner, either chain N and join, or the magic ring methods. (N being any number)

Book of Job…. A well known but misunderstood verse

Book of Job…. A well known but misunderstood verse.

Someone say: Exaggeration is a form of lying…
    How about speaking in faith?
Is speaking in faith also exaggerating?

    Lets hear this story:

Father : “I want you to marry a girl of my choice”

Son : “I will choose my own bride!”

Father : “But the girl is Bill Gates’s daughter.”

Son : “Well, in that case…ok”

Next – Father approaches Bill Gates.

Father : “I have a husband for your daughter.”

Bill Gates : “But my daughter is too young to marry!”

Father : “But this young man is a vice-president of the World Bank.”

Bill Gates : “Ah, in that case…ok”

Finally Father goes to see the president of the World Bank.

    Father : “I have a young man to be recommended as a vice-president. ”

President : “But I already have more vice- presidents than I need!”

Father : “But this young man is Bill Gates’s son-in-law.”

President : “Ah, in that case…ok”

You think the father is lying, exaggerating or just telling ppl what he wants?

    Is God Sovereign?

God is not responsible for your doing and not doing. God give you free will and He will honored it.

    Escape to Reality

crownA friend of mine lost several million dollars in a bad investment. He is well into his seventies and this was his retirement money, so this is a big blow. How did he lose it? Well, here’s my theory: He took some bad financial advice from a dodgy analyst and put his money where he shouldn’t have. But my friend doesn’t see it like that. He told me, “God is in control. I guess he didn’t want me to have all that money.” In other words, God is to blame for his loss.

When I heard this I was too stunned to speak, but my friend was just getting warmed up. “I guess I’m a lot like Job who suffered at God’s hand. At least I can say, ‘God gives and God takes away, blessed be the name of the Lord.’”

    Well, isn’t that just swell?

    As I have explained…

    Leave it to God?

    Life is a choice
You live your life today with the choice you made yesterday.
I often asked myself what I want in life. How I want my life to be tomorrow.
When times are hard, I tell myself to leave it to God. This sound right and logical. But think again, God give us free will on how we want it to be. Imagine God saying: My daughter, u r free to make choices you want for your life. Isn’t God leaving it to us? If we leave it to God n God leave it to us, then who is ‘controlling’ it? Omg! This is eye opener!
Abba, give me favor and wisdom to choose my life that will glorify You. Open my spiritual eyes to help me make a wise choice everyday. May every step n path tat I take be a testimony that Jesus saves.

    Food for my soul

Ppl always teach & tell others “God help those who help themselves.” Well, for believers…. this is not in the bible. Don’t help God, help ppl around you. You are blessed to be a blessing! God give us talents, wisdom, wealth, health so that we can help others, it is not for us to look down or laugh at others. Be gracious when we received God’s grace.

All the requirements God has for mankind is all fulfilled and answered by Christ on the cross.

Our God is a generous God. His 1st command to mankind is (Gen 2:16) ‘U shall eat freely’. God always over supply our needs. (1 kg 8:29-30 & 1 Kg 9:2-3 ) Solomon asked God for open ears & eyes towards the temple when ppl come praying. God answered with giving His ears, eyes, heart & name! When 500 ppl are hungry Jesus supplied food with 12 baskets left over (for them to tao bao aka take home). (Mk 10:13-16) Parents bring their kids to just get a touch from Jesus….. Jesus embraced them!

Before we sin, seeds of doubt usually presence. We doubt our mighty God’s capabilities to bless us more.

Why do we feel angry, jealous etc when all we need to do is ask God! When man cannot, God can. Or do we limit God? Why do we trust man more then God? Trusting God in supplying all our lack will reduce our temptation on lying, stealing, adultery……..When we trust God, we will have a bigger heart.

Grace is unearned, unmerited, undeserved favor. Only place in the gospel tat say Jesus is angry (greek:orge) is in Mk 3:1-7 when ppl heart are not gracious. This too grieve (greek:lupeo) Holy Spirit (Eph 4:29-30).

What are we saying to our friends? Words which edifying them or hitting them down? When U say things your friends deserved that is not unearned, unmerited, undeserved favor. Freely give as we r freely given!

Abba, thank you for loving me.

    pooʇsɹəpunsıɯ sɐʍ ı

I was very sad when my love one commented ‘Believe can liao dun get superstitious’
To have such comment from a friend I still can take it. But from someone so close, it breaks my heart. Was all the time spending knowing one another wasted?

    1. Was I ever one?
If fully believe what the bible said is true is classifies as ‘superstitious’, then I am. Other then that you wouldn’t catch me crazy over anything for more then 3mth.
How can I be one if I didn’t attend church for more than 10years! This already show I don’t follow blindly. I use my heart and also my mind.

    2. Even I think those worship of religions seems meaningless for me; did I ever mock at the ppl doing it? I usually respect other ppl decision. Only when ask then I will voice my opinion. Also then I will not mock at ppl. I only comment on the actions.

    3. Didn’t I always check information given to me?
Does confirming information given also call ‘superstitious’? Then again I am guilty lor.

Do I have to be pretentious even in front of my close ones? Can’t I even share what I believe w/o being condemned?

I used to think different believe is not a problem but now it seems not.

Anyway my wish is all my close ones and my friends will join me in heaven. Simple. If we can continue having fun in heaven why choose to meet in hell? If there is an easy way to go heaven why choose the difficult way?

Or do you believe I wish you harm? Then I am sorry, my frds will not even think of me like that.

    To my non Christian frds:
If one day, news shown many billions of ppl in the world suddenly disappeared into thin air: it is rapture. Pls don’t be deceived further in believing aliens took us. Do a search. And accept Jesus’ to preserve your spirit eternally. No one knows when this will happen. But according to the prophecies and most already fulfilled, it can be anytime. It can also be our next generation. But to me, I like to get ready early then wait till last min.
    Check it out:
    1. The ark during the worldwide flood is found. Evidences also confirm that there is really a worldwide flood.
    2. Evidences found confirm the truth about Moses opening the red sea.
    And many others:

If it happens before, it will leave a mark. There are a lot more found and confirming bible didn’t lie. Then and again bible also said even when all things in the bible are proven true, ppl’s heart can still be stubborn.
My frds what have you got to lose to check those truth out? But if because of my believe in God’s word you choose to distance away from me, I really got nothing to lose. I understand some Christians are very irritating. I know. That’s also part of the reason why I didn’t attend church for so long. In fact the church I am going still have such ppl. But didn’t Jesus come for the sick? Is it worth to give up eternal life for such ppl? I used to tell my relatives why I was chosen by God to be the 1st Christian in my family. It is because I am the naughtiest one. Is it God great? If He take only ppl who always in good book, I will be hopeless.

I know all religions teach ppl to do good. Can you guarantee your soul that you can be a saint by doing good? What if you do one wrong thing? Do you really think that maybe if you do one thousand good things then it will cover up the wrong thing or even wrong thoughts? If cannot then how? My frds its time we do something for our soul.

Christianity is not a religion which only shows you what is good. But to give you a complete relationship with the Good.

For me and my household, I choose the easy way. I was touched when I know I am loved. But with little knowledge of this God and His son, I choose to believe my creator loves me.
Now in my 3rd phrase of my Christian life, He opened my eyes to see so many true reports. History now comes alive to me. I used to sleep or talk during my History lessons. But now I can’t stop wanting to know more. Don’t take my words. If you really want to know the truth, God will surely give. I also never take my Pastor’s word lightly. I will check and make sure it is true then I accept it. I am fascinated by my Pastor. It just happens that numerous things he said, God already put it in my heart long ago. That’s why I accept that this Pastor shared the same feeling about our relationship with our Heavenly Father. Of cos, there are still a lot more for me to learn. Jewish culture and history is really so interesting. Nothing in the bible is idle. Every word spoke had its meaning. Even the language is so rich. Ppl can decode it; can break it to understand the root of it etc.

    For my Christian frds:
There are some of the interesting things I learned. And how I know God better and closer.
Jesus died on the cross for me didn’t really hit me. Until I slowly unveiled the meaning and every torture he took for our behalf.
The thorns crown he wore had a meaning. How his clothes was gambled away had a meaning. How many stripes he took for us had a meaning. Why there were 2 thieves with him had a meaning. Why none of his bones are broken had a meaning. There is a meaning why he thirsts. There is a meaning why vinegar was given to him. Why did Jesus fold the linen burial cloth after His resurrection? Everything had a meaning. And all the meaning results to my wholeness. Nothing is wasted. Praise God. Only He can have such perfect planning. Now I can even see Jesus in OT. God spend 40days and 40night with Moses talking about His precious Son. Many of us when read bible wouldn’t find such revelation. We only tot Moses went up Mt Sinai to collect the 2 tablets (to cure our headache? Ha ha just joking). Anyway the Ark of Covenant is also found. Together with the blood of Jesus on the mercy seat!
How amazing! Praise the true living God!

Grace is really very difficult to comprehend.

In the Creator’s kingdom we only need to receive, it is free!!! This is something self righteous ppl can’t accept. Ppl can’t accept free gifts w/o thinking what to give back in return. They dun like the feeling as if they owe someone a favor. They need to do something to make themselves feels ‘better’. That’s why many cannot receive grace. Grace is undeserved favor. Grace is given to everyone but many refuse to accept w/o a price. They feel unjustified. They want to earn it and feels deserved it. Again what is it that we do we can claim proudly that it is our own effort? Life itself already beyond our control.

Maybe we are brought up learning that nothing is free. Even parents gifts come with a condition that we are either obedient or had scored an ideal results in our school.
Government ways of controlling us are also the same. If you go against the law they set then you will be punished. If you do what they want you to do, rewards will be given. Therefore the world we grow up with teaches us nothing is free. When we know God can reward us w/o reason, we cannot accept. That is our uncomfortable zone. But God always give free will. If we study hard enough into the heart of God, we will understand God’s way is different from the world. Now the problem is, can we accept the fact that God is different? Or are we trying to change God’s way of doing things to how the world does them? When we read bible, do we use our own experience from the world or by the help of Holy Spirit?

Many go against grace preacher, claiming that they forgo the law. Accusing them of only teaching the easy thing. But grace is not easy to teach. Same goes to the heart of God. Preacher always say God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. Do you know what is the same? It is His love for His creations. When believers understand the heart of God, they understand the purpose of law and the gift of grace.

    Father’s heart of God.
As parents if we see that our kids steal thing. It is easier to take a rod to beat him or easier to pay for the thing he stole? By beating, he remembers the pain and might not dare to try again. Also by beating he might become more rebellious, he can always learn to steal again w/o getting caught. This, itself is a risk. 1st result seems good. But he was ‘force’ not to do it. That is not a real change from his heart. One day when the parents are old and dun have strength to hit him, he can steal again.

Love melts all hearts. By giving him chance is giving him a chance to grow up himself. One day he will understand why he dun need to steal and not why he cannot steal. I am not encouraging kids to steal and parents just let them steal. I am also not against canning. I am just saying the perfect way is to teach and pray with the kid. Then let Holy Spirit works on it.

Do blessings have to come with persecutions?

Maybe many leaders find that letting their people choose grace mean letting them be out of their control and manipulation. Laws control people; Grace embraces people and let them feel the heart of God.

We watched too many manmade stories. We should read more God’s people story. God always take the bad situation and turn it to good for us. Esp those stories of God’s people living in grace which was before God gave His law.

To understand grace we must understand how much He love us. We are created to be loved by Him. That’s the only purpose.

    Answers from Bible
    Look at Adam and Eve.
Do they need to do anything to gain paradise? Did they deserve it? Did they need to worry what to eat? What to wear? Is Fellowship with their Creator their only responsibility?
Next take a look at Abraham. Did he repent when he lied about his wife? Did God punish him or bless Him? And did Abraham lie again? Did he repent? And did God punish him? Or did God bless him again? Was his life blessed before he sinned or during his sin or after his sin? Is that the same El Shaddai we worship today?
At what circumstances did God give the law? Did God give the law when His people are fully depending on Him or when His people claimed that they are righteous? What is God’s purpose when He gives law? So that we can be righteous by fulfilling them? Or to be like a mirror for us in order for us to understand Jesus completed work on the cross?
Did God planned for Jesus to die for our sins before the law or after? Whose laws are stricter? God or Jesus? Did Jesus fulfill all the law or some of it or more of it? Have Jesus forgiven us all our past, present and future sins or jus some of it? Did He forget to forgive some sins or did He say “It is finished”? Does Jesus need to die again for some sins He yet to forgive? Is our only responsibility to keep confessing our sins or to spread the gospel?

Grace is difficult to understand when Holy Spirit is not given the chance to enlighten our spirit. Grace is out of the world. Grace only works in God’s kingdom.

Can we give freely quietly? Even those who sacrifice their life for the poor, what results they are hoping for? Nothing? Didn’t they hope the hungry will be full? And who can help the hungry to be full? So those saints hope the rich will help the poor. Who can help to send the message across to the wealthy? Media or word of mouth? Will media help if these ppl never sacrifice their life for the poor? Will the media praise these ppl works in order to bring the message across? So did these ppl become popular or public hate them more?

“So is Robin Hood is not a thief — he is a champion fighting against evil. In our hearts we understand the story correctly, which is why we find Robin Hood to be such a noble character.”

Is Robin Hood a hero? So stealing from the rich is acceptable? Is that against the moral law? Or as long as they are helping others they can steal? Do heroes need to eat? So they steal for themselves also? Are they still heroes if they steal also for themselves?
Is it economic justice for someone else to decide how much is “enough” for me or for you? Is it right to take a portion away from one who is “rich” to give it to one who is “poor?” Didn’t some work harder than others; some more skilled than others; some better financial decisions than others; and some just simply being blessed?

Aren’t most wars started because people want to bring justice in their own hand? Can wars bring justice or cos more problems?

Did christians got saved by their own effort or by God’s grace? After receiving salvation by grace, the rest of God’s blessings have to be earned? God can give eternal life freely, can He also give health and wealthy freely? Which one is more difficult to give? Is it a sin to rest in God and be given all His blessings?

When we see God’s grace. God see our faith.

    Quote From:
“Do you think it was fair for God to punish Jesus for another person (for that matter, every other person’s sins)? Why or why not?

The obvious answer to both is that it is not fair, but that is what grace is all about, isn’t it? It was not fair for Jesus, who had no sin, knew no sin (2 Cor 5:21) and did not sin, to be punished for our sin. In the same way, it is not fair for us, who deserved to be condemned to hell, to instead be considered sons and daughters of the Most High God. That is why in 1 Cor 1:23, Paul describes the gospel as scandalous to the Jew and moronic to the Greek because it goes against the human concept of fairness.

The parable of the workers in the vineyard is a great example of how God is unfair — unfairly good. The one who worked since the morning got 1 day’s wage, just like the guy who worked just 1 hour. He felt it was unfair but he got his full day’s wage and not anything less. He got what he deserved and represents the law. The one who started working only in the eleventh hour did not complain, because he got what he did not deserved. What amazing grace our God bestows upon us. Amen?”

    Shalom Pastor Prince

As a believer we are suppose to encourage each other. We saw that sadness in your eyes during the talk. We feel sad with you. But your sadness was gone the moment you shared about Jesus. I don’t think we even need to encourage this well-loved Pastor. Still, we have to make our stand during such time. I believe the whole church feels with our pastor. I believe when our Pastor is being questioned by the world, so are we. Just like if anyone maligns Jesus, all of us will also kanna. If they stripped you, they stripped the whole church. Pastor Prince, you and your family are not alone. As a church we are together in everything. We are the body of Christ not bodies of Christ.

Don’t you think this is good? As an event planner, we always look out for free exposure. The national papers are giving free advertisement for the house of God. The world will wonder how come God’s people are so highly blessed that they can highly bless their Pastor. I believe God never allow bad things to happen to His people. You told us; when something bad happen, we can be sure God is working on bigger blessings.

I guess some are disappointed when we know you took so little salary. Do you know how much a CEO who leads a team of 20,000 people? I am sure his salary is far higher than yours. If you (our church head) are taking so little, then there is so little left by the time this blessing reaches the body.

You said blessings are received by the head then beard then body. We will be in deep trouble if our Pastor goes unpaid. Do you think God wants it that way? What will others think about God? Didn’t you always tell us that our Abba Daddy is very wealthy? Can you imagine if you force God to cut your blessings, you are also asking Him to cut the church blessings! No wonder your suggestion was never approve. You really shouldn’t be disappointed with them. In fact, you should be proud that they follow what you had taught them.

Just like you said; if our Pastor doesn’t have a big heart, how the Church have big heart?
When I was an insurance agent, I never allow my client to own a policy that is higher than my. That is my conviction. How can I tell my client the benefits when I never experience it myself? You too, if you never handle over abundance blessings, how can you tell us that God can give?

It is not how much God can bless you. It is what you do with the blessings. Eg. You can take those blessings which you think is extra, and set up a fund to help those church members who lost their jobs. We are blessed so that we can bless others. And by doing so, Jesus is glorified! This is what you taught us.

At times like this the more church need to prosper. It is God’s name at stake. Pastor asked to cut salary or go unpaid only show the world, God’s wealth is affected. In fact, we should increase our Pastor and leaders salary for the glory of God.

I truly understand what Jessica going through. Just like how people mock at my son when he happily shared Jesus’ love. He was so sad and so puzzled. But that is Christian’s life. The world will not understand without the help of the Holy Spirit.

Cheer up my Pastor. Ever since the 1st time I stepped into New Creation Church, I have been praying for you and your family! But forget about the leaders. Today, you remind us. I will start praying for our leaders too. 😛

Lastly, you said you are glad that we belong to you. So don’t even think that we will give you our blessing if you go American or anywhere else without us! Please remember that you belong to us too!
